Meet the team:

InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector Dan McDonald
Dan McDonald (He/Him)

My name is Dan McDonald. I started Peak Home Inspections as an extension of my teaching and property rental business. My wife and I ran a whitewater rafting company called Penobscot Adventures for 15 years. I started remodeling summer homes during the winter, then changed to teaching in the off-season. I still teach in the winter and work on my own rental properties and house during the school breaks. I inspect houses and add new testing and inspection skills whenever I can.

Ben Miller (He/Him)

Ben grew up in Michigan, a kindred spirit to Maine. He studied at Michigan Tech and Virginia Tech before becoming a teacher here in Maine. After purchasing his first home, he realized the value of a quality home inspection and the little (and big) problems that can be discovered in a home and property. He decided to become a professional home inspector to help others understand their homes and potential maintenance needs.  An educator at heart, the "why" of issues with a home or property is the focus to help ensure you make an informed decision. When not teaching or inspecting your home you can find him on the trails or the skin track.
